The world is worth living only because of creative souls who have made it worth living.
Most individuals will have his/her creative side to them, but the true creative souls will find it difficult to blend in with societal norms.
Most highly creative individuals tend to be complex than how most people perceive them to be. They tend to be very different from most people around them.
Failure won’t bog them down. They may go into a shell. However, they are likely to be even more determined than before and bounce back with something bigger and better – doesn’t matter how many weeks/months/years it takes.
They can be introverts and extroverts most of the time. Introverts when they are in the process of creativity and extroverts when they have to promote their work.
Highly creative individuals are their own best critic. They do not need any inputs or criticism from others. They often self-correct and will destroy their own work, if they aren’t satisfied themselves. Watch a movie shooting and you will know how many times a shot is re-done if it isn’t according to the director’s vision.
Imagination is more important than knowledge – Albert Einstein
They probably went to school just because they were told to and there wasn’t any other choice. While in school, they are most likely to stare at the window instead of paying attention to their teacher.
Procrastination and creativity goes hand in hand. Most people tend to believe that they are just being lazy and do not want to delay starting work. However, their brain works overtime, with thoughts flowing non-stop while eating, bathing, travelling, walking and even while they are fast sleep. They will start working on their creativity only when they think they are ready.
Creative individuals are most likely to be bored with routine work if they aren’t intellectually challenged or they aren’t doing anything different from their previous assignment.
Most creative people will be ridiculed first for their innovative ideas until it is accepted by the society.

I always love reading Sudhir’s posts; so insightful and relatable. When I was reading this post; I was nodding my head; yes that sounds like me! I hated school, especially high school. I couldn’t stand being told what to do. I love uni though.

I could absolutely relate to this post.I might be praising myself when I say I’m creative, but I am a misfit in the crowd. And if I’m not intellectually challenged,I feel life’s a waste.
Wonderfully written. 🙂

You really captured the essence of a creative person. The procrastination portion even helped me understand. I don’t draw or measure but do a lot of walking, thinking, construction even wash dishes until I have it straight in my heart and head then it is create, like a train work until finished or exhaused. Thanks for visiting my blog because now I found yours.

Certainly creative people are wired differently…some may even find them queer..but those are the traits that sets them apart from others! Great post..
